Fabric Block-Printing: Tote Bags
Sunday 7/19, 11-2pm, $60/student
Learn the ins and outs of printing onto fabric! In this three hour workshop we will learn linocut printmaking skills as we design and carve a rubber block, and use it to hand print a design onto a cotton tote bag. Explore inks, color, and pattern, and leave with a unique, machine-washable bag, printed with your own design. Have another piece of fabric or article of clothing you want to try printing on? Bring it! Light-colored fabrics work best and experimentation is welcome.
Pressed Flower Collage
Wednesday, July 15th, 6-8pm, $50/student
Create a one-of-a-kind collage using real dried florals and botanicals, all picked locally from the Portland area. We will explore composition and design as we select and lay out our dried flowers on watercolor paper. We will then affix and seal our designs, creating a unique and vibrant piece ready to be displayed as wall art. Preserve the beauty of the garden to enjoy year-round! All materials provided, beginner friendly.
